Conflicts, natural disasters and pandemics keep millions of children out of school, leaving them alone in a desperate situation and with the prospect of an insecure future.
Relief Winds has been implementing education projects in humanitarian contexts for the last 5 years, benefiting thousands of refugee children, but also IDPs and local population.
In response to the emergency situation, Relief Winds realizes interventions focused on formal and informal education, in order to ensure children protection from abuses, violence and human rights violations. This is particularly important for the most vulnerable groups, like girls. Relief winds also distributes school materials, builds temporary schools using containers or tents, trains and supports teachers and the school personnel.
Guaranteeing access to education means to offer a safe learning environment to protect children’s physical integrity, reduce the psychological consequences of the trauma linked to the crisis, strengthen the sense of stability and daily routine for the children but also for their communities
